But you must understand in advance that in wet weather (with melting wet snow, puddles) such mittens will easily get wet (if you mess with wet snow with your hands). Hands will not freeze, as fleece and wet heats well, but still unpleasant. For wet weather, it is better to sew mittens from raincoat fabric and insulation. Sewing mittens, I will show on the example of children's. But just as you can sew both men's mittens and women's.

Cutting mittens details

We fold the fleece in two layers, face inward.

Alternately, we put on the fleece the details of the mittens pattern, and circle. Be sure to mark the lines of the base of the thumb on the details of the palm of the mittens and on the details of the thumb - when sewing mittens, we will need these lines. Sewing mittens from fleece

I like to make applications on the fleece from the same fleece, but in a different color. In this case, I made an application in the form of a zipper on each mitten.

We add the detail of the thumb with the detail of the palm of the mittens, combining the base lines of the thumb and the slices, with the face inward.

We chop off with pins or sweep - so far only in the area of??the thumb.

Stitch only on the thumb area, to the base line of the thumb.

We bend the thumb, and combine slices of parts in the middle of the palm. Pins off or sweep.

Stitch the seam in the middle of the palm. We try to make the line a continuation of the line on the thumb - and so it was on both sides.

The prepared palm of the mittens is folded with the back side, with the sides inward.

We combine slices around the perimeter of the mittens, pin them off with pins or sweep.

Stitch the details in two steps, breaking the line on the line of the base of the thumb.

From the back of the mittens, this line looks like continuous.

We twist the mitten, thumb. Straighten the seams.

Tune the knit cuff (I took ="://shiemdetiam. ru/kak-eto-sdelat/trikotazh-ribana-chto-eto-takoe" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label="рибану (откроется в новой вкладке)">ribanu) The cuff is a rectangle.

Width = 1 ... 3 cm less than the width of the mittens + 0.5 cm allowances.

Length = (cuff height in finished form + 0.5 cm allowances) * 2. We choose the height of the cuff in finished form in the range from 2 cm to 4 cm - depending on the size of the mittens. For babies, it is enough to take 2 cm, for adults - 4 cm.

Here you can clearly see the ratio of the width of the mittens and the width of the cuff:

Stitch the cuff in the ring, iron the allowances.

Bend the cuff in half, face inward. We combine a seam, we straighten allowances.

Insert the mitt into the cuff. We combine slices, pin them off with pins or sweep. At the same time, we stretch the cuff to the width of the mittens. The seam of the cuff is combined with one of the mittens seams (if you get a large thickness, you can slightly shift it).

We sew the cuff with the mittens: overcast stitch, zigzag, on the overlock - to whom it is more convenient.

Bend the cuff, straighten the mitt. Here you can clearly see how the seam on the cuff is combined with the seam on the mitt:

The mittens is ready. Similarly, we sew the second mittens.

In the same way you can sew mittens from another fabric, knitwear, etc. Just consider the elongation (elasticity) of the material, and its thickness.
