Hey Beauties!

The term, “Girl Boss” has been used so much the past few years and you know what, I AM LOVING IT! So what does it mean to be a Girl Boss? Are there qualifications? Who are the Girl Bosses to look up to? Am I a Girl Boss? How do I become a Girl Boss? Some of these questions may be swirling through your mind. By no means am I an expert to quantify and qualify anyone to be Girl Boss but I will say being raised by entrepreneurs and being an entrepreneur myself for the past 7 years I may know a thing or too about being a GIRL BOSS! Oh yeah, baby!

In working as a makeup artist most of my clients are the ultimate Girl Bosses, Lawyers, CEO’s, Momma’s, Politicians, Pastors, Creative Entrepreneurs, Singers, Dancers, Actors and so many more! Today I wanted to showcase a few of my clients whom have been an absolute dream to work for because they truly are changing the world!

First up is Sofia Boyer of Magnolia Creative Studio, her work is incredibly beautiful for it being of the tech kind. 😉 She helps women business owners with all her magical website and brand building skills. She offers some amazing services, go check her out!

Next up, the ever so sweet Erika Reiner of Erika Reiner Photography. She has an incredible eye and is seriously the sweetest person to work with! The cool thing about Erika is I’ve had the pleasure to work both for her and with her. She specializes in natural light lifestyle photography, you should go check her out!

Lastly is the ultimate Girl Boss I’ve had the honor to work with many times both on production sets and photography shoots. She is the multi talented, Pam Hoelzle of How To Start Something and Dear Rockstar. She has incredible business sense and is a true encourager to help you turn your passion into a profit! Being a Girl Boss is more of a state of mind than a state of status. We are ALL Girl Bosses is our own right and walk with your head held high no mater what you do. Now, I’ve showed you a few Girl Bosses I know personally but I wanted to share some I look up to in the beauty industry as well, whom I haven’t met yet (speaking that in faith). They work so hard and are crazy talented at what they do!

First up is Lisa Eldridge, one of the most respected and experienced makeup artists in the world. She has a vast knowledge of makeup history which I find super fascinating! She has an incredible book called “Face Paint: The Story of Makeup” Go check it out, her knowledge and skills are outta this world! She also just launched a fabulous jewelry line that is absolutely stunning!

Lastly is the ultimate Girl Boss, who coined the phrase for our current generation and that’s  Sofia Amoruso, the author of Girl Boss, Founder and former CEO of Nasty Gal and current founder and CEO of Girlboss Media. She is the authority on all things vintage and women in business. Netflix even did a hilarious series about her life and the start up of her multi million dollar franchise! A favorite quote of hers is, “A #GIRLBOSS is in charge of her own life. She gets what she wants because she works for it.”

I hope you feel encouraged to follow your dreams and don’t give up! Let’s be the women who help straighten each others crowns. Now, go on and turn your passion into profit like I did with my makeup and skincare business. You can do it!
