Hey Beauties,

I’ve had on my heart to share the meaning behind my mission for, ” Beauty from the inside, out.” I truly believe that when situations squeeze us we learn really quickly whats inside us. Are we ruled by our emotions? Are we easily swayed? Do we give into comparison?

Identity is key when we go to apply our makeup and get ready for the day. Do you do it to hide away? To become someone else? Don’t succumb to the pressures of the world to become someone else, be YOU! The world doesn’t need another copy it needs original YOU!

From the Tale, Snow White, we’ve all read as kids, The Evil Queen said, ” Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all? The magic mirror responded, ” You, My Queen, are so fair true. But the young Queen is a thousand times fairer than you.”

The Evil Queen was obsessed with comparison and maintaining her vanity to the point she exiled all the “undesirables” to outside of town. It literally drove her mad. Could you imagine if the Evil Queen believed in herself enough to have the confidence to embrace her flaws and give herself permission to be original. Now, that would have been a whole different tale to tell.

You can quickly find yourself in a spiral of comparison in this day and age of social media. Someone is always doing it better. Thats the way it will always be. If we keep outside focus on what should be an inside job we find ourselves in the never ending spiral. But if you keep focused on the path in front of you and don’t look to the right or to the left, you’ll be mind blown by what you’re capable!

When you look into the mirror next, speak life to yourself, love your flaws, embrace your differences, that’s what makes you, YOU. The world needs you to be YOU, not someone else! One of my favorite books, I’m reading for the second time ( if you know me, that never happens ) is called Without Rival by Lisa Bevere. She talks about embracing your identity and purpose in an age of confusion and comparison. Pretty much the best book ever for this topic, am I right?!

I hope you began to love yourself, embrace your truths and live from the inside, out. The world needs your truth, your self conviction and your beauty! Speak life to your passions and I hope that everywhere you go you leave a smile behind with those your encounter. The amazing Maya Angelou said, ” I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel. “
