Master class on making a maple leaf bag for women (traffic and many letters) / Leather / SECOND STREET

Master class for the manufacture of women's bags "Maple Leaf"
name="cut"/> Good day to all!
I will try to write so that the photo goes first, and then its description.
I'll start, perhaps, with a review of the tools:
As it turned out later, I did not put all the tools used, so the photos may not include copies not shown here.

Industrial machine for heavy materials, noteworthy with paws with double material advancement
So, let's begin:
First, transfer the pattern to the substrate material. As a rule, I use fabric - cotton, linen, the main thing is that it is not expensive and does not stretch. As the thickness of the fabric increases, the front wall will become stiffer.

After transferring, I draw veins - always by eye and by hand, never copy. Therefore, I cannot have exactly the same bags. I don’t know if I’ll forget to write later or not, but when I flash the bag’s contour, I periodically make small changes, so the contour cannot be the same either.

After applying the veins with a pencil, I glue twine of different diameters on them. The photo shows preparation for skin pressure. For skin gluing in almost all cases I use polyurethane adhesive. There are many, many, but I like Uranus. In total, about 200 ml of glue takes me to a bag (I buy in cans =))), a tube for example). Also in the photo it is difficult not to notice a large yellow bottle - this is a skin softener. You impregnate the skin with it, after which it stretches much easier and after drying it remains in the same position. Divorces and changes in color does not. KEZAL still =)). Well, the dental spatulas obtained in the market are not very expensive - they help a lot in work.

I always start with the central vein, having previously tried on the skin (so that it is enough on all sides).

Dark skin is just the place soaked in skin softener. It dries quickly enough.

We continue to push, the case is coming to an end.

After half a day of work, you get such a piece of skin on a substrate

This is a back side photo of a bag. The same material is glued onto the skin as the front wall substrate. It is desirable that this be the same material.

We begin to make an internal pocket on the back wall.

There are several options for making such a pocket, but since I'm not looking for easy ways, I first collect everything on glue.

This is one of the few procedures where the “moment” glue is simply not replaceable. It glues quickly and well, but it can always be torn off (if not the next day, of course), and the surplus can be rolled into the booger with a finger straight from the skin.

That's how it turns out after sewing a pocket.

It's the same thing, but from the inside out

Now it’s the turn of gizmos, which I don’t know what they are called, but they are very important, because they are sewn with a lining, a zipper, the bag itself and they allow you to cram a second phone or even a bottle of actimel into the bag.

These gizmos about which I spoke in the previous photo, on this one are located in the foreground in the lower right part of the frame. The remaining parts are complemented and sewn directly to them. The photo shows all the blanks for the bag (except the belt). It remains to sew it all.

First, we sew the front and back walls of the bag to these parts from the inside.

Then we twist and flash. The top is ready!

Then we pick up a pencil or chalk on the skin (they draw on different skins and complement each other, for example, I refused to draw on this pencil and I painted with chalk) and draw the outline of the sheet. Here, I didn’t seem to forget =)) - I correct some lines, as a result, there are no two absolutely identical bags.

Then heroically scribbling along the lines. Heroically because if there is a jamb somewhere, then the day of work is empty. That's what happened on the front side.

And this is how all this disgrace looks on the reverse side.

Then we take a sharp, sharp knife and, again, heroically cut a sheet along the contour. The distance from the cut line to the seam is 1.5-2 mm. One not adroit movement and oops!, starting all over again.

Having torn a bunch of expensive leather with a knife, we get what is visible in the photo - an almost finished bag blank.

It was the turn of the lining - I am stitching it around the perimeter without forgetting to insert the partition. A strip of leather is the finish of the top of the inner septum.

It is time to get paint to cut the skin from the shelf. This is such a thing, which is used to close the skin section, it turns out such a rubberized roller. Surely everyone understood what it was about.

And so it turns out after the paint. What was before the paint did not take a picture, but not very aesthetically pleasing. Two layers of tissue stuck between the layers of skin. And the thicker the fabric, the thicker it will stick out =)))

It remains to make a belt and install accessories.

I collect belts on holnitene, color depending on the used accessories.

Here, the bag itself is ready. It remains to give it a bulge and bend the edges of the sheet.
In time I spend about 10-12 hours on one such bag. This is the time when I work, but not near her =)))
Good luck in replays;)
