Dorodango (Diy) / Creative / SECOND STREET

Only the Japanese could come up with this! Under the cat there is a master class.

There is such a fun in Japan that is not subject to even our adults - this is the creation of shiny balls of earth and water. She herself was shocked when she saw this!
This is called Dorodango.
The process of its creation to the commonplace was simple. You just need to mix the earth with water to a state of dense dirt, from which the ball rolls. Then, too, everything seems to be simple - it is dried and rubbed to a mirror shine - this state in Japanese is called "hikaru" (the translation is radiant). And everything seems simple, but it is only in words. In fact, this is a laborious process that requires concentration, incredible diligence and patience. Getting the perfect shape of the ball and the subsequent polishing process takes quite a lot of time, from several days to several months, depending on hard work and the desired result. And the result is worth it!
Being a good anti-stress agent, the art of dorodango has other positive goals. People are very inspired only by the notion that it’s just possible to make something beautiful, perfect in shape from such simple means.
Would you like to try to repeat this yourself? So, I found a way to create such a miracle.
A short course in the manufacture of Japanese dorodango balls.
For the manufacture of dorodango, sifted earth will be required (sand is excluded, balls from it simply crumble during drying), a little water and a lot of patience.
So, remember, the soil can be anything but sand! The color of the future ball depends on the color of the soil.
Sprinkle the ball many times with dry soil and rub it into the surface.
Add and rub until the ball becomes like this:
After the result suits us, we will start drying. This is the most important stage of manufacturing dorodango. To speed up the drying, we use this tricky method: wrap the ball in a plastic bag and leave it in the refrigerator for half an hour. Spread the ball on a soft base so as not to damage the perfect shape of the ball.
During this time, moisture released from the ball will condense on the walls of the bag. Gently take out the ball, sprinkle it with dry soil and rub it.
The action will have to be repeated many times, because if you do not evaporate all the water, you get this result.
And as soon as you understand that the ball has dried out, the work itself begins. Polishing! Depending on the cloth or material you have taken, there will be a different degree of polishing. The results will please you very much, and if you still achieve such ideal forms, then I think the delight is ensured. After all, they also have hypnotic properties.
And this one?
Here are the works of the master. Well, aren't they masterpieces?
And further:
Who would think that this is only water and land. Well, certainly human hands.
