Inside Judi Dench’s gorgeous English farmhouse
When Dame Judi Dench isn’t jetting off to film on location, she spends her time relaxing at home. Her Surrey-based farmhouse is as beautiful as you’d expect it to be.
Originally known as Wasp Green Farmhouse, Judi Dench house is 6,910 square-feet and was built in 1470. Alongside the house is five acres of secluded land, which sounds dreamy if you’d like a little bit of peace and quiet.
Judi has lived here for over 20 years, so she has definitely made this house a home. Numerous pets have accompanied her here, as well as her daughter Finty Williams, and grandson Sam Williams. It is a very well loved house.

There are two buildings on Judi’s property; the main house and a cottage. The man house has four bedrooms, a master suite with an en-suite bathroom, a cozy living room, and a kitchen breakfast room.
The cottage has two double bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen and dining room, and even a reception room. The outdoors is equally as impressive too, boasting a heated swimming pool, a pond, barns, workshops, and fruit trees.
As you may know, Judi isn’t the best at staying inactive, so she’s spent a lot of time maintaining her garden too. She even has a secret little forest which is dedicated to lost friends and loved ones, where she’s planted trees in their memory.
Some of the people she’s honoured with her forest include late husband Michael Williams, her brother, actor Robert Hardy, and actress Natasha Richardson. Both Judi and Michael shared a love of trees and nature, and she’s carried on keeping both the garden and her forest well-cared for.
Judi’s home is simplistic yet gorgeously picturesque, with high ceilings and a traditional design. The pictures are just a taste of the full thing, but naturally, Judi values privacy and to keep her home as peaceful as possible.
