So, tomorrow (Saturday, July 6) the royal bundle of joy known as Master Archie will get Christened in a super private ceremony. And for reasons that are fully ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ it's causing all kinds of drama. Which we can all agree is kinda ridiculous?

First of all, everyone is extremely upset by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's decision to protect the privacy of Archie's godparents—especially since royal godparents are usually made public.

Now, royal Reporter Richard Palmer is out here claiming that Meghan and Harry are actually "in breach of a legal requirement to make the names of Archie’s godparents available to the public."

Meanwhile, a Church of England spokesperson told the Daily Express the following:

"Under the Parochial Registers and Records Measure 1978 all baptisms must be registered and the record made is normally publicly available for searches and for the making of certified copies. However the register to be used in this case is held privately by the Royal Household on behalf of the Crown and we understand that it has never complied with the usual requirement.”

Palmer claims this basically means that the "Royal Family has been flouting this requirement," which on the one hand isn't a great look, and on the other hand...who cares?! Can they live?!

On top of that, Megs and Harry are being accused of making a royal blunder by organizing the christening on a day Queen Elizabeth couldn't attend. According to The Daily Express, Harry and Meghan had originally wanted the service to be today (July 5) and didn't realize that neither the Queen or Prince Charles could attend. They ended up moving the service to tomorrow so Prince Charles could be there, but Her Majesty still has to skip out.
