When Margot Robbie made her second appearance at this year's Cannes Film Festival to promote her upcoming film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, she eschewed classic waves or slick up-do in favour of something with a little more history.

Pairing undone, straight hair with two un-tied braids on either side of her face, Robbie evoked one of the most iconic looks of Sharon Tate—the woman she plays in the film.

But this wasn't the first (or, presumably, the last) time Robbie has channelled Tate's iconic beauty influence. Just the day before, she had worn the actress's signature smokey cut-crease (a '60s beauty staple made famous by model Twiggy), and before that, emulated her distinctive mod blow-out.

Unsurprisingly, Margot Robbie and Sharon Tate are a match made in heaven. The two actresses share the same delicate beauty, with strong brows, sharp noses and defined jawlines.

Will Robbie continue to emulate Tate for the rest of her Cannes appearances? We can only hope.
