There may be events as stylish or red carpets as star-studded, but when it comes to sheer longevity and volume, Cannes has them all beat.

The film festival runs across a marathon 12 days, and includes a seemingly endless rotation of red carpets, dinners, parties, photo-calls and junkets. Not to mention well-dressed social outings between friendly attendees after hours.

And for each of these well-publicised events, an exquisite new look must be planned, prepared and executed on site.

The result of hundreds of stars attending dozens of events in several outfit changes? A veritable landslide of fashion ranging from bespoke couture gowns on red carpets to fresh-off-the-runway ensembles for photo-calls and custom fits for even the most casual of parties.

But, of course, not all looks are created equal and some red-carpet moments were more heart-stopping than others.
